Seeing Eye Cat and Buddy Need a Home

A beautiful Russian Blue kitten was discovered creeping along an apartment building several months ago. A kind woman fed him and the next day took him home - only to discover he was very friendly but also was blind.... He quickly learned the lay of the land and enjoyed sitting with his owner or playing in clothes. A few weeks later the kind lady found a 5 week old black kitten in a neighbor's car engine. The young kitten instantly bonded with "Kahuna" and they became inseparable. Kahuna follows Minky (nose to tail) so Kahuna can now run and play. Both are litter-box trained, spayed/neutered, and have received all vaccinations. They have, however, caused an uproar among the other cats in the household and must go - together. Dreaming of a White Christmas?

You may not get any snow, but one of these beautiful white animals will add warmth to your home for the holidays.

Scout
Update - Scout was adopted on December 23, 2011

Scout is a male Basenji mix. He is two years old and weighs 26 pounds. He is very friendly and well-behaved. He was living as a stray and the person who rescued him stated that he's a bit shy but he warms up to you quickly. He did well with their children and several dogs.

Blizzard
Update - Blizzard was adopted on 12/15/11

Blizzard is a lovely, soft-spoken girl who really enjoys being patted and loved. She is about two years old and is hard to resist because her fur is so cuddly and soft. She is quite striking with one blue eye and one gold eye.Blizzard is good with other cats and older children.

Sadie
Update - Sadie was adopted on December 12, 2012

Sadie is a female Australian Shepherd mix. She is just a year old and weighs 33 pounds, but will probably gain a bit more. She is a bit skittish at first, but if you move slowly and touch her gradually, she'll make friends. Once you do, you'll find that she is friendly, playful and energetic. She lived with a family for four months, but they could no longer afford to keep her. She played well with their five year old and likes both dogs and cats. The previous owners say she is a wonderful loving dog that would make a great addition to any family.

Angel
Update - Angel was adopted on January 11, 2012

Angel is a three year old male who enjoys being held.  He'll be sure to let you know by his heartfelt purring. He is adventurous and loves exploring the world around him. His family was in the military and could not take him when they moved.  Angel is good with cats and children of all ages and would love nothing more than to join your family.

Gunther
Update - Gunther was adopted on December 20, 2011

Gunther is a neutered male Beagle and Terrier mix. He is one year old and weighs 24 pounds. He is friendly and has a calm personality. He was brought in as a stray so there is not much information about him, but it appears as though he may not care for children or cats.

Corrina
Update - Corrina was adopted on December 20, 2011

Corrina is a 12 year old female with beautiful blue eyes. She is extremely loving  - she's content to sit in your lap or be held as she greets you with a loud purr. Although she is a bit older than some of the other cats around here...she would love to find a nice, quiet forever home and family where there is soft warm lap for her naptime.

All of these animals are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on their vaccinations.  They can be visited at the Animal Defense League, 11300 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio.  View their profile in the personals section of the Defense League's website.
